Thai AirAsia’s daily Fukuoka flights from Bangkok start 22 September 2026, with late-night departures and stronger fare competition.

Thai AirAsia is expanding Fukuoka flights from Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport, giving travellers more flexibility for Thailand-Japan trips from 22 September 2026.

Thai AirAsia is set to make Bangkok–Fukuoka journeys easier, with daily Fukuoka flights beginning on 22 September 2026. The move gives travellers more choice for combining a Thailand holiday with a trip to Japan.

More frequency from Don Mueang

The low-cost carrier currently flies this route four times a week. From 22 September 2026, it will operate Fukuoka flights every day from Don Mueang, the airline’s Bangkok base.

The flight time is about five and a half hours. Departures are scheduled late at night at 23:45, which means passengers arrive in Japan in the morning.

Why the schedule matters

That overnight timing can be useful for anyone planning to get straight into sightseeing after landing. Arriving in the morning also gives travellers an extra day to use at the destination, rather than losing time to a daytime transfer.

For people planning flexible trips across Asia, the new daily Fukuoka flights should make it simpler to pick dates that fit wider itineraries.

More airlines are joining in

Thai AirAsia is not the only airline adding capacity on this route. Thai Airways will also increase its services to Fukuoka, with daily flights from Suvarnabhumi starting on 7 September 2026.

Thai Vietjet will join the route from 25 October. With more carriers competing, travellers are expected to have a better choice of schedules and attractive fares.

The average cost of a round trip on the low-cost market leader is currently about 350 dollars. That gives a useful reference point for anyone comparing prices across the route.

What travellers can expect

For international travellers, the main benefit is simple: more Fukuoka flights usually mean better timing, more availability and stronger price competition. If your plans include both Thailand and Japan, this route update may make the trip easier to arrange.
