Thailand Tourism Festival is returning to Bangkok with free entry, nine regional zones and practical transport advice for visitors planning a stop in the capital.
The 44th Thailand Tourism Festival is opening in Bangkok tomorrow, and it is one of the city’s most useful free events for travellers who want a fast overview of the country. Held by TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand), it brings food, culture, crafts and tourism ideas from across the kingdom into one venue.
When and where to go
Thailand Tourism Festival runs from 25 to 29 March 2026, with opening hours from 10:00 to 21:00. Admission is completely free.
The event takes place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), on levels LG and G in Halls 1 to 4. If you are in Bangkok during these dates, it is a strong addition to a sightseeing plan, especially because it condenses many parts of Thailand into a few hours.
What visitors will find
The festival is divided into nine themed zones that represent different parts of Thailand. The layout is designed to feel like a quick journey from north to south.
- North: Chiang Mai atmosphere, craft demonstrations, traditional clothing and Khao Soi.
- South: seafood, Muay Thai shows and traditional dances from Krabi and Phuket.
- Isan: Som Tum, colourful displays and Mor Lam music.
- Central region: traditional floating house replicas and puppet theatre.
- East: fruit tastings, including fresh durian and mango.
- Extra zones: tourism technology with VR, a main stage with star concerts, and a Net Zero area focused on eco-friendly travel.
How to get there
The venue is well connected, but taxis are not the best choice because heavy traffic is expected around the area during peak hours. Thailand Tourism Festival is easier to reach by rail.
- MRT: get off at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center station. Exit 3 leads directly into the centre.
- BTS: on the Blue Line route, change at Asok to MRT at Sukhumvit station and travel one stop to QSNCC.
- Bus: routes 136 and 185 stop directly in front of the building.
Practical tips for a smoother visit
Arriving early, right after the 10:00 opening, should help you avoid the largest crowds. The venue is large, so comfortable shoes are a smart choice.
Visitors are also advised to come hungry, bring cash or use TrueMoney or TAGTHAi, and download the TAT festival app. The app lets guests collect digital stamps in each zone, which can be exchanged for souvenirs. For travellers already in Bangkok, Thailand Tourism Festival is a compact and efficient way to compare food, traditions and regional identities in one place.
